This unique course, suited to individuals with English as a first or second language, develops advanced communication skills. You will learn the phrases that motivate and inspire others, and practise the communication strategies needed to constructively contribute in team and client interactions. Three key areas of communication are highlighted: The Art of Persuasion, The Power of Positive Language, and Effective Listening. To master these skills, participants engage in dynamic group activities, including discussions, presentations and scenario role-plays. On-line learning materials are available for this course.
Group sizes typically range from six to ten participants. We also accommodate smaller groups of two to five people and offer individual coaching.
Scheduling details are arranged based on your preferences. This course can be delivered as in-class or on-line training or a combination of both. In-class training typically takes place in ten weekly two-hour sessions. If you prefer other scheduling arrangements, please let us know so that we can accommodate you. Time slots for in-class sessions are available both within and outside of business hours.
In most cases, training is provided on-site at your location. Centres currently served include Toronto/GTA, Waterloo Region, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. Clients outside of these areas may opt for one of Gandy’s e-learning courses.
