This practical course develops the skills and understanding that will ensure the meetings you manage are focused, productive and amiable. You will learn to create a meeting environment that facilitates the exchange and development of ideas and that motivates people and ideas to positive action. Discussions, exercises and meeting role-play activities allow you to explore essential skills and best practices for chairing meetings, including preparing a comprehensive agenda, opening a meeting, arbitrating, staying on course, redirecting, summarizing, and resolving conflict.
Group sizeGroup sizes typically range from six to ten participants. We also accommodate smaller groups of two to five people and offer individual coaching.
ScheduleScheduling details are arranged based on your preferences. A course is typically conducted in a series of weekly two-hour sessions lasting ten to twenty weeks. If you prefer other scheduling arrangements, please let us know so that we can accommodate you. Time slots are available both within and outside of business hours.
LocationsIn most cases, training is provided on-site at your location. Centres currently served include Toronto/GTA, Waterloo Region, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. Clients outside of these areas may opt for one of Gandy’s e-learning courses.
